Know Your Councillor

Rick is in his fourth term as Burlington’s Ward One City and Regional Councillor.

He has built a reputation as a good listener with a calm, balanced approach to local government.

With more than two decades of management experience, Rick has demonstrated his ability to build and lead effective working teams such as the Aldershot Community Council, the Plains Road Village Vision group and the Aldershot Business Improvement Area.

During his ten years as an elected representative Rick has served as Chair of many of our most important committees including: Burlington’s Budget and Strategic Planning Committee, the Audit Committee, the Community Services Committee, and the Community Development Committee. He has also been Chair of the Regional Health and Social Services Committee, the Diversity Advisory Committee, the Halton Healthy Community Fund and the 211 Advisory Committee.

In addition to his other duties, Rick is currently serving as President of the Halton Community Housing Corporation, a member of the Police Services Board and the Board of the Performing Arts Centre.
